Tips for registering for YEC 2019

• Under session list find Youth Evangelism Conference and select add (you can register 1-8 people at a time by using the quantity drop down menu ) and then hit continue.
• Follow steps afterward to complete registration including filling out registration information, reading medical and permission wavier (it’s highlighted blue just click and it and you will be able to read both).
• At review cart & check out screen select NO for protect your registration fee. 
• If you would like to pay at a later date select Pay a Deposit/Pay Balance Manually.

Registration Cost: $100 (includes conference and some meals). It DOES NOT include lodging but check out lodging options tab below for ideas including a hotel that has given us a conference rate for YEC.

2019 YEC Keynote Speaker

Rev. Lisa Cook worked in the corporate world for more than 20 years as a Sr. Project Manager for AT&T, before answering the call to ministry.

Lisa graduated in 2008 from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, with a B.A. in Business and Organizational Development.   Following graduation, she attended Memphis Theological Seminary, earning her Masters of Divinity in 2013 with honors. Lisa was then ordained by the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and called to serve as a street chaplain to those experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty in Nashville, TN.

Lisa serves this unique church/community through Sacred Sparks Ministry, an outreach of Nashville Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  The purpose of the ministry is to meet men and women experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty where they are, and to offer a ministry of presence, love, pastoral care, outreach, and relationships.

Tiffany Hall McClung is an ordained Cumberland Presbyterian minister who has served the denomination for almost two decades. She earned a M.Div. and D.Min. from Memphis Theological Seminary. She is a pastor, writer, mother, wife, and stage manager. She currently serves as Stated Pulpit Supply for Brunswick Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Arlington, TN. She lives in Midtown Memphis with her husband, Andy, and their two kids, Ian and Max. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, jumping out of airplanes, and watching movies. That is two truths and a lie. You decide which one.

Reverend Joyce Merritt directs Still Waters Family Ministries, a Middle Tennessee outreach ministry located at 7120 Old Nashville Highway, Murfreesboro, TN.  This ministry serves families (especially single parent families) who need a hand up to move forward to the full and secure life God wants for all God’s children.  Local pastors, volunteers and agencies provide Christian direction, financial training, personal counseling, parent education, and educational and career assistance according to the specific needs of each family.   Prior to taking this position, Joyce pastored The Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over ten years. Formerly a high school science teacher, Joyce earned her Masters of Divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary.  She served part time in two churches and founded the Living Vine Outreach Ministry of the Cookeville CP Church prior to her Rockvale Pastorate.  In addition to the Still Waters Ministry, Joyce also serves as Parish Associate at Murfreesboro First Presbyterian Church.  She has published a book of poems, Naked Before God, A Journey Into Light and Life.   Joyce and Tim have five children (three  “all grown up,” two in MTSU and one in 8^th grade.) She and her family live in Rockvale Tennessee.

We’ve got a block of rooms set aside for YEC at a group rate of $129 per room (double beds). Contact hotel and use YEC or Youth Evangelism Conference. This rate is in addition to the $100 registration cost.

What is Youth Evangelism Conference?

The Youth Evangelism Conference (YEC) is a triannual youth conference sponsored by the Discipleship Ministry Team and Missions Ministry Team of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. This YEC’s theme is Unite and is being held at in Nashville, TN.

When is YEC and how much does it cost?

YEC 2019 is February 16-18

$100 includes all YEC conference and three meals. Does NOT include lodging.

Where is YEC?

The 2019 YEC will be located in Nashville, TN. Most of our programming will be held at Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church (477 McMurray Dr, Nashville, TN 37211).

What do we need to bring?

Please bring bibles, writing utensils, warm clothing, personal items, toiletries, and money for meals not covered by the registration fee.

What time does my group need to be at YEC for registration?
Registration will begin Saturday, February 16 at Tusculum CP Church. Registration will begin at 9AM (CST) and end at 9:45AM. Our opening gathering will begin at 10AM.

Who takes care of lodging and rooming assignments?

Each church group is responsible for their own lodging and room assignments.

What about meals?

Three meals will be provided for all at Tusculum CP Church. These meals are included in the price of registration. Other meals will be on your own. See event schedule to see which meals are provided and which are on your own.

What are we doing at YEC?

At YEC 2019 we will gather and hear amazing messages from our keynote speaker Lisa Cook, participate in small groups and have an evangelism immersion experience in the city of Nashville, TN.  We will sing, pray, worship, play, serve and grow closer to God and one another.

When does YEC end?

YEC ends following the closing worship service on Monday morning, February 18.
