Instituted in the October 2018 issue of the Cumberland Presbyterian, the “Our Stories” articles have proven to be one of the most popular features in the magazine. Each feature focuses on a member of a Cumberland Presbyterian church who is famous (or infamous) for something other than ministry. We have presented athletes, actors, musicians, politicians, soldiers, and business persons all linked by having membership in a Cumberland Presbyterian congregation.

We have collected the best of these articles into a hardcover book modeled on the gossip magazines of the 1950s and we hope to have it available by General Assembly in Denton. We think it will make an excellent introduction to the magazine for people who do not subscribe and a nice keepsake for those persons who do.

Our former art director, Sowgand Shiekholslami, created the look of this volume. The Reverend Thomas D. Campbell suggested the subject of the first biography and many others after that. Once the feature was running, many other people suggested subjects. John Hans and Edith Old proofread the text. The Reverend T.J. Malinoski has been an irreverent sounding board. Susan Knight Gore, director of the Historical Foundation of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, has been an invaluable resource,
