In the Summertime: What's There To Do?
Summer doesn't have to be boring, and children shouldn't stop learning just because school is out.
This resource offers seven themed chapters of summertime activities, and because it's by Elaine Ward, children who participate in these activities are going to learn something too... including, but not limited to praising God.
Ward believes summer is a time for seeing, tasting, touching, hearing, smelling, and praising God.
Chapter 1 is built around the theme of water., Chapter 2 around doing things, Chapter 3 around trips, Chapter 4 around stories, Chapter 5 around reading, Chapter 6 around taking care of God's world, and Chapter 7 around being with others. Chapters include suggestions, resources, crafts, activities (for both older and younger children), tips on making activities teaching moments, and more.
This is a great resource for parents, home school, Sunday school teachers who don't want to follow a sit-down curriculum, VBS, day camps, and intergenerational ministries.
