Have you written a book?

Or are you writing a book? Have you developed a resource for use in church school? Have you recorded a CD?

If you are a Cumberland Presbyterian and you have been published in any form then we want to help you share your work with other interested Cumberland Presbyterians. It doesn’t matter if your publication has anything at all to do with “the church,” we are interested in everything from how to improve your golf swing to your latest novel.

Do you have a manuscript to publish?

If you do, various teams, boards, agencies, and institutions of the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination have funds available to develop appropriate resources. Obviously, for one of these entities to take an interest in your work it should pertain to their particular area of ministry. While any denominational entity is capable of publishing, both the Historical Foundation of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America and the Discipleship Ministry Team have an active interest in Cumberland Presbyterian publishing.  If you just need help getting your manuscript into print or need to know which denominational entity would be the best suited to publish your book. Cumberland Presbyterian Resources will be happy to assist you. Both HFCPC and CPR provide editorial and formatting services at no cost to Cumberland Presbyterian Authors. We work with printers and publishers on a daily basis. We can give you helpful hints and point you in the right direction or we can partner with you to get your book in print under one of our imprints. Part of our goal is, of course, that your finished work will be available through C P Resources.

Will I make any money?

Do you want to make any money? If you intend for your work to benefit a particular board, agency, team, or institution then the entity that you specify will receive the profits from your book. If you would like the income from your publication to go into an endowment in your name or to honor or memorialize someone else, we can do that too. Finally, if you want to receive income directly from the sales of your book we issue quarterly royalty checks. You will never have an out of pocket expense if you publish with us. We will not charge you for “proofing” copies. We will provide you with a limited number of desk copies, gratis. Finally, if you want copies to sell yourself, we will provide them to you without any markup and even give you 30 days to pay us.

 The Historical Foundation is particularly interested in history, biography, and autobiography.

Varnavas Press

General interest publishing that has little or nothing to do with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church except that it was written or compiled by a Cumberland Presbyterian.

Discipleship Ministry Team CPC

Books and other publications related to Christian Education or of interest to educators.

Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Cumberland Presbyterian Press, Cumberland Presbyterian Publishing House, Frontier Press

Virtually any topic pertaining to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church or of interest to Cumberland Presbyterians. History, theology, fiction, self-help. . .you name it!
