Donations for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster
On January 1st, 2024, earthquakes occurred in the Noto Peninsula area of Ishikawa Prefecture, causing extensive damages. The known loss of life is expected to increase as people are still buried alive. None of the Cumberland Presbyterian churches were directly affected by the earthquake, although family members of some Cumberland Presbyterian members have been impacted.
In response to this disaster, the Disaster Countermeasures Sub-Committee of Japan Presbytery will distribute donations to appropriate Christian organizations, etc., according to the situation the sub-committee monitors.
Should you feel moved to donate, send your check to the Cumberland Presbyterian Center made to the Missions Ministry Team with “Japan Relief” written in the memo.
