Ministry is learned in real time—through worship, sacraments, leadership, and the care of people.
From Call to Care is a year-long mentoring experience designed to support newly ordained clergy (two years or less) as they move from theological formation into the lived realities of congregational ministry.
"From Call to Care" Program
- 12 online mentoring sessions
- 45–90 minutes each
- Led by PDMT elected members and invited leaders
- Sessions include presentation, video, dialogue, and Q&A
- Emphasis on both practical skills and pastoral formation

- September 8 – Celebrating the Sacrament of Communion ( Rev. Jimmy Byrd)
- October 13 – Preaching Every Sunday (Rev. Jen Newell)
- November 10 – Dealing with Conflict in the Church (Rev. Courtney Krueger)
- January 12, 2027 – Celebrating the Sacrament of Baptism (Rev. Isaac Gray)
- February 9. 2027 – Now that You Are a Presbyter (Rev. Matthew Ingram)
- March 9, 2027 – Now that You Are a Moderator (Rev. Leanne Kerner)
- April 13, 2027 – Clergy Finances (TBD)
- May 11, 2027 – Pastoral Care (Rev. Linda Snelling)
- June 8, 2027 – Conducting Funerals (Rev. Derek Jacks)
Each session will be via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. (central) Those who
register will receive the link prior to the session.
