Faith Fellowship Supports Kid’s Place Child Advocacy Center
Faith Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Columbia, Tennessee (Columbia Presbytery) lent its support to Kid’s Place Child Advocacy Center, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, in memory of dedicated church elder Meredith Campbell Bybee who died unexpectedly in May 2020.
Faith Fellowship and Kid’s Place partnered to create “Meredith’s Toy Box” to honor Bybee. Church members collected 319 toys, primarily Barbie Dolls and Hot Wheels cars, and raised $193.36 in cash for Meredith’s Toy Box, surpassing their original goal of 300 items.
Before her death, Bybee helped raise $5,000 for Kid’s Place which honored her family for the contribution at their “Shine” gala held in March 2021. She served Faith Fellowship as Christian Education Director and Vacation Bible School coordinator as well as teaching the adult Bible study class. Bybee served on the board of directors at Crystal Springs Presbyterial Camp.
Kid’s Place serves child victims of sexual and physical abuse and their non-offending family members in the Tennessee 22nd Judicial District which includes Lawrence, Giles, Wayne, and Maury counties in Southern Middle Tennessee.
