Americas Youth Gathering 2020 Postponed
To AYG USA Delegation Participants from Nathan Wheeler,
This breaks my heart to inform you that the Americas Youth Gathering in Medellin, Colombia has been postponed. The uncertainty around our global pandemic and the unknown around our venue, travel for participants in other countries including the United States and in consultation with our Global Cross-Cultural director, Missions ministry team leader, and our missionaries in Medellin the decision to postpone AYG 2020 was made.
As of now the plan is to regroup in the coming weeks and determine a new date for summer 2021.
I’m thankful for the time each of you have spent in prayer, the time you and your churches have spent raising money, and your enthusiasm for AYG over the past several months.
Each of you who have applied, accepted, and have raised money for your trip are welcome to join us next summer. But once a new date is chosen, and you look over your calendar, if you decide that you will no longer be able to join us we will work on reimbursement for any money you raised.
If you have any questions feel free to let me know. Our Denominational Center will be closed beginning Monday for two weeks so it might be awhile before we can begin to process reimbursements.
Keep one another and our communities in your prayer as we all do our best to fend off this pervasive virus that is upending so many of our lives.
